"Put your body in motion and your psyche will heal itself." Gabrielle Roth

Through a creative, intentional movement practice, Movement Medicine brings heightened awareness to the way we move, think, and feel. It allows the innate intelligence of the body to reconnect us to the age-old wisdom of living from the heart.

The dancer is a natural part of our humanity—we don’t have to learn how to dance, we just have to let go of the idea that we can’t. By trusting the dancer inside of us, we awaken more of our creative potential and deepen our connection to the life flowing through and around us, enabling us to share our most authentic selves with the world.

After training with the founders of The School of Movement Medicine, Ya’Acov and Susannah Darling Khan, I am now both an Apprentice Movement Medicine teacher and facilitator. I teach regular Movement Medicine classes in my hometown, Plettenberg Bay, as well as integrate the principles of Movement Medicine into the other healing work I offer.

“I believe in the power of motion, the wisdom of gravity, the emptiness of true love, the fact that there is no way out but through the body, no way up unless we all go together, no way down unless we follow the beat, no way in unless we embrace the dark.” — Gabrielle Roth

To keep up to date with classes and events, subscribe to the mailing list and join us at the next opportunity. The invitation is to really tune in, listen deeply, to connect and celebrate the wisdom of our bodies.
